More Injuries Affecting the Bears as First-Rounder Darnell Wright Has Joined the List
As revealed by Bears insider Josh Schrock, Bears rookie Darnell Wright suffered an ankle injury at yesterday's practice:
More reports reveal that after sustaining the injury, Wright was seen limping off of the field. Other reports are also stating that Wright is getting an MRI to see what damage was done, and to make sure nothing serious occured.
This comes at a bad time, as it was recently reported that Bears starting guard Teven Jenkins suffered an injury at practice, which could keep him sidelined for several weeks.
Now, Wright is joining the list of injured players, which is causing concern for Bears fans.
Wright was the Bears first-round pick from the 2023 draft. He was a standout offensive lineman during his college career with the Tennessee Volunteers, which made the Bears eager to draft him. The Bears used their 10th overall pick on Wright, making this injury more concerning than most.
There have not been any updates yet regarding the severity of the injury or if he will miss any games.
