Hard Knocks is a show that follows around 1 team as they prepare for the new season. Every year we see a new team in hopes to change their future. The team chosen is usually a team that has struggled in the past, but has high hopes for the season to come. Changes in the staff and roster is a common key to the chosen team, so that is what the production is looking for.
A few months back, the 4 teams that were selected as candidates were the Bears, Commanders, Saints, and Jets. It was reported that all 4 teams dismissed the idea and asked to not be apart of it. Hard Knocks struggled to pick a team, as no one was interested. This seems to have not happened before, as teams are usually fine with the idea. NFL teams actually don't have a say in it, and a camera crew is pretty much allowed to follow them without their permission.
Because of this struggle, they have not made their final decision yet, but many reports believe they are eyeing 1 certain team: the New York Jets.
When reports came out about the Jets being a candidate, they were not happy. According to Fox News, Jets head coach Robert Saleh told reporters a few weeks ago that he was not interested. Saleh said:
The Jets have had the most attention in recent months, as former Packers QB Aaron Rodgers signed with them this offseason. The former 4-time MVP and Super Bowl champ almost broke the internet when he came to New York, so fans are surely eager to see what is going on behind the scenes.
So, even though the Jets are not pleased with a camera crew following them, they do not have a say. Nothing has been made official yet, but it does look like we will be seeing the Jets on the big screen very soon.
