NFL Insider Reveals Possible Trade Destinations for Bears WR Chase Claypool
After it was revealed on Sunday that the Bears were looking into trading WR Chase Claypool, many of us began wondering where he would go.
NFL insider Matt Lombardo revealed his candidates of the possible trade destinations for Claypool:
As shown in the article, Lombardo beleives that the 3 best destinations would be:
1) Eagles2) Chiefs3) Lions
Lombardo sees Claypool being a good fit with the already established Eagles WR core. He thinks that Claypool joining AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith will allow Claypool to be that third piece in the receivers room, making him a good weapon for QB Jalen Hurts.
When looking at the Chiefs, Lombardo sees them flipping Claypool's career around, and making him a solid WR. Mahomes is arguably the greatest QB we have ever seen, so by putting Claypool on that team, it will most likely make him a good WR, at least better than he already is. Other than Kelce, Mahomes does not have his go-to receiver, so maybe Claypool could be that guy?
And lastly, Lombardo sees the Lions as a possible destination. The Lions are currently the sleeper team of the NFL, and though they are division rivals, we still need to give them their props. He sees Claypool being a good fit with head coach Dan Campbell's style and Goff's quick release.
I don't think the Bears could get anything exciting from a trade, but a mid-to-late draft pick sounds more likely.
