This move is so huge for Justin Fields' development
The Bears selected Justin Fields/u> with the 11th pick in the 2021 NFL draft. At the time, this had all of Bears' nation extremely excited. Fields was an incredible prospect coming out of both high school and college.
His rookie season was full of ups and downs. It was, honestly, to be expected. However, I truly believe that the horrible coaching staff and the lack of talent on both the offensive line and the receiver position was the real problem. I think the important thing to take away from the season is that Justin Field is for real. He is a very gifted football player and he has the potential to be a great quarterback in the league for a long time.
The move that I love for Justin Fields is the fact that he is actively trying to train with his receivers. During the start of January, he went down to Florida with Darnell Mooney, his current number one receiver. They both trained for almost a week there. We got the chance to see a few Instagram videos of them. Here is a video of one of their highlights last season:
A couple of days ago, Justin Fields was on the NFL's Instagram live. He mentioned that he plans to get some of his teammates down to Georgia so they can train with him throughout the week. This is amazing news. I think it shows great leadership from a 22-year-old quarterback. I know there is a couple of quarterbacks that have done this in the past. However, it is clearly not every player in the league. With Fields' young age and little experience, every repetition he can have with his playmakers is extremely valuable.
